C3 S10 - Far From the Moonlight

The night began with news from the Camirilla.  Darren was told that the Blue Hunt was prepairing for a retalitory attack on the witch hunter group that almost killed the Skull the night before, and Tony learned of a Watchdog attack on the Sabat HQ on Blackwell Island.  Although there was strong support for interveingin in both cases ultimately the group decided to act to protect Zacherias's prison.

Durring the discussions Kaytoss learned that there was an occult item offered by Wargrave to return him to his previous power.  Darren's strong opposition to giving Wargrave Vernon's research was outvoted, and Tony Kaytoss and Darren break from the rest of the group to go and make the trade.

Wargrave, happy to receive Vernon's research gives Kaytoss an amulet that stops his brother from syphoning away his power.  This happens not a moment too soon, as Alma Trist (one of Vernon's resurrected) pays a visit to Wargrave.  It would seem that his decision to help the group has not gone unnoticed, and Alma has arrived to put an end to his un-life.  Battle ensues with many appendages being severed from the dreaded Trist Family Sword.

Meanwhile Giuseppe and Rick head to Blackwell island and learn the extent of the destruction.  Thankfully Veronica Bell and Cassius both live (thanks to some quick medical checks).  The prison it seems has been taken underground, and is being moved to manhattan via the subway tunnels.  Giuseppe and Rick quickly catch up to the slow moving Watchdogs and begin combat.  Kaytoss's brother unexpectedly goes Horrid Form, and nearly kills Giuseppe several times.  Although the fight goes downhill fast, the PC's manage to hold out for reinforcements.
Having given Alma the slip, Kaytoss, Wargrave, Tony and Darren rush onto the scene in the subway tunnels to rescue their beleaguered comrades.  Kaytoss (good) gets a few strikes in against his brother, but is quickly outmatched.  Add to this a swarm of 80 infected humans, and the group is lucky enough to escape.  Zacherias's prison however has been lost...

Wargrave, now hell bent on getting revenge on Vernon tell the players his theory for how Vernon is summoning and controlling the resurrected vampires.  If what he says is true, then there are three supercharged Necro-lanterns acting as beacons of ethereal energy around the island.  The group may have already located one, but how does one go about destroying such a thing?

  2. Additional :

Kaytoss, taking advantage of Severichs forced transformation unleashes a series of truly brutal attacks resulting in Vernon's protege being unceremoniously smashed to pulp. Kudos to Darren for saving that WW blood since chapter one!

...Also Giuseppe got torn through the majority of a subway train and survived.
