The Incarnadine Road - Session 10

Planning to go to Seattle

  • Most of the caravan it seems does not want to risk their lives on the promise of a drug dealer.  Only the few rabidly against the Camirilla and desperate enough for the power agree to go.
  • Boomer, the Sabat rescued from the biker gang the One Shots tells of a medical facility that he had heard about.  Supposedly it was developing a protection for vampires against Holy Water...

The Neberoux Bio-medical Facility
Of the six, five sat down to tea and remarked there are none more revered, on one side of the table they talked of business and art and old glories, while on the other side one dimmed the lamp to the other's delight.   Who was missing?

  • The facility is strangely empty. Upon investigation it seems unnaturally empty.
  • Cammy identifies a strange computer terminal using the light from the ghost glow lantern. In order to shut down the illusion the riddle above must first be answered and input.
It would seem that the research did not stop when the Camirilla fell. Twisting seemingly endless electrical cables twist and turn in knots crossing over almost every surface within the facility. The harsh smell of burning plastic, and the sporadic fizz and pop from the butchered and re-purposed electronics give the darkened interior a horrid rats-nest like quality. Those with acute hearing faintly pick up the distant incoherent sobbing of those unfortunate enough to have been captured and used as test subjects. While those with high animistic instinct can find clues and strange markings throughout the constricted halls.
  • Once the illusion falls, Shin finds that he is in the main testing room.  It would seem that the Camirilla were harvesting skin.  If this is what was developed to ward against holy water, it seemed gruesome and ineffective.  Although several of the test subjects were still alive, their emaciated bodies and shattered minds were not able to be made to give any additional information.
  • Following a strange set of scent markers, Red uncovered a strange hidden compartment in the ceiling of the subterranean supply room.  Upon investigation it seemed that the Camarilla researchers had developed a better defence than the original Second Skin program.  A growable graft of skin, named Demon Skin.
  • Cammy discovers that Ryka had already been to this facility.  The dangerous thermal generator in the basement of the facility had been disarmed and kept from detonating by perpetually having it reboot.  Cammy sets the device to explode in a short 1:00 min and signals for the group to escape.
  • A darkened corridor on the second floor if guarded by a strange automated weapon that expels jets of liquid metal.  Despite several attempts Nero can't figure out how to get past the device.
The DOVE Swoop in
  • The DOVE are an efficient vampire killing force, and the PC's find it hard to cope with the damage they deal.  Despite killing several of the agents, the group decides to make a run for it.
  • With the front and back entrances barricaded by DOVE, the PC's struggle to find a way out.  Ultimately they jump out of the second story window.
  • Red gets gets cut off from the rest of the group outside of the building.  He takes refuge within an empty DOVE van and awaits rescue.
Leaving off on a chase...

  • The group takes control of the DOVE van with another miraculous roll from Shin's Skeleton Key.  With the turret gun blazing, the team takes off towards Seattle.
