Prologue One - Easton

It felt great to be working with another human being again, and a true believer at that.  Those monstrosities that we came across last night must have thought we were a couple of Vamps like them, because I would have never believed we could get that close without drawing suspicion.  Brosecki had those daggers of his drenched in dead man's blood faster that I would have thought humanly possible.  We didn't even need the two claymores I had set up before hand, though I'm sure they'll see some use before the week is out.  I'll admit I had my doubts at first about my new found friend, but when he told me about his two kids being murdered by some gargantuan grey one winged Vamp named Vernon, I could feel he was telling the truth.  Makes me wish I could track down the beast that slaughtered my own family.
If there is one thing I am certain of, it is that it does not matter how many lives it costs to kill evil.  If a thousand people have to die to send this one winged beast into hell where it belongs, you can bet that I'll be the first man to see it done.

  1. For as long as I live, I will forever speak the name Vernon Brosecki with utter disgust, as if the name was vomited from my lips. The hate I have for Vernon transcends all the hatred I have for any person, living or dead; real or imaginary.
