System Maintenance: Subsumance

This discipline was created quickly and little attention was given to what sorts of system changes would take place if one's form were altered to another substance.  So with this update a better set of rules to govern each of the forms is given, mostly upgrades for each but with at least one deleterious effect for each.
Additionally the final ability was changed completely.  Previously it was an augment to the other transformations in a similar fashion to Bestial Avatar, which struck me as a bit unimaginative.
The ability to alter the physical world around the PC was removed as it had the potential to derail some of the situations that the PC's were placed in.  Feedback is always welcome!

  1. I'm a little sad the power doesn't involve altering around the form's materials. Are you still able to "swim" through your chosen material?

  2. I love glass form! Also playing a Bali with concrete form would be damned awesome. Totally want my next character to do that.

  3. Are you immune to fear checks from fire when in concrete form or just the fire itself?

  4. You know it's kinda funny, the way Subsumance was used to make casters "swim" through the respective substances was never placed onto the discipline sheet. After much deliberation I've decided to remove that ability from the game for the following reasons.
    1. It allowed PC's to get around game situations such as the Prince's library in the past chapter. I would rather see more ingenuity and skill checks in the game.
    2. In combat the ability to move through substances allowed players to become immune to damage, and almost always count on having a way to escape. Slashing at people from the concrete below them while taking no damage in return is broken.
    3. Many problems occur when an amalgam of substances were attempted to be passed through. Concrete with rebar for instance.

Also yes Concrete form would make you immune to the fear of it as well as the damage. I've adjusted the ability description to make that clear.

Thanks for the input guys, I really appreciate it.
