The group learns that Romanoff has called for a meeting of the emergency council the following night, which could upset the Followers of Omar as their inclusion has not yet been decided. Additionally the mystery of the black figurines is learned, and the securing of "the abyss" is underway.

It seems that Umbriel is picking up an item from the newly released Mr. Ballister, and despite his attempts to flee he is easily intercepted by Roec. Unfortunately the parcel he was carrying is snatched up by Vernon's lieutenant Severichs before all hell breaks loose.
The Easton who has been tricked by Vernon attacks from a rooftop, getting the jump on Oliver who had already taken up a sniper position there. Simultaneously armed units of both the Sabat and the Camirilla roll onto the scene and turn the crowded tourist attraction into a war zone. With bullets and fire raging around them the group manages to come together and chase the Easton down into the sewers, where they are confronted by Vernon angry that he has been forced to surface to protect his witchunter pawn.
With a freshly summoned two headed monster crawling up behind them and Vernon blocking their escape the situation seemed grim until Neavelle appeared from a side passage leading all to safety.
I'm pretty excited to torture Umbriel, get nothing out of him, blood bond him, and then break his mind as we give him conflicting orders. Is it a waste of time? Yes. Is it going to make me happy to make one of the Kaytoss-nappers suffer? OH GOD YES.
ReplyDeleteI'm interested to see how the group handles the next session's emergency council. Depending on how things go it could really alter the dynamics of chapter three.
ReplyDeleteWhat scares me/makes me laugh is that it's all essentially in the hands of Oliver Oxenfree.

ReplyDeleteYeah, Oliver is in a key position. He is showing up tonight right? otherwise it'll be all up to the rest of the group.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he is, Xander has been having Thursday nights off lately.
ReplyDeleteFantastic. Looking forward to it.
