C2 S4 - Mephitic City 18

In this session of VRM the group awakens to find that Bradley has found a severed arm, and despite it being horribly suspicious the group does little to investigate its origin other than to ascertain that it's original owner was an Assimite.  Early that evening the Skull informs Darren that he has uncovered what looks to be another attack of one of those two headed wolf monstrosities while he was hunting down a couple of rogue Watchdogs.  His crew don't really have the capacity or interest to investigate such things, and although Vernon is a top priority the crime scene goes unlooked at all night.
What occupies most of the time is the dire need to get Valdred out of Blood tower and into the holding cell beneath the city.  He seems quite amiable when approached by Winters and the group, and is drugged severely to ensure that his transportation goes off without a hitch.  He is shuffled out of sight just in time as the appointed Mitrofan Hilstein-Gottorp-Romanov comes onto the scene.  The group learns that the Vampire appointed to assess the condition of the city and appoint the acting prince is enthralled by Oliver, and has yet to make a decision.  The group desperately desires to see the former Aidis Victoria Bell, a Vampire proven to be a friend to the group put in charge.

The path to "the abyss" is blocked by another group of animalistic humans and Severichs who attempts to abduct Valdred's unconscious body while on rout within the subway.  But despite his efforts he is shot in the eye by Oliver just in the nick of time and vanishes before the drugged former prince can be taken.
The old Camirilla prison turns out to be not much more than several large cells and a reinforced jail.  After grappling with the mind of a destitute Malkavian named Alfredo the group discovers that Wallie White Ballister has been kept alive in his cell and has the dubious honorific of being the sire to upstanding gentalman Leon Hyde.  As the deal of his release is struck, and despite his corrupt dangerous past (which included the sale of Christopher Ratoe's gloves) he seems like a potential friend to the group.  Only time will tell where his true allegiances are however.
As dawn fast approaches the group learns that Finchley has been contacted by the wanted ex Watchdog Harvic, and although the window to contact him has passed, an attempt is made anyway.

  1. Totally forgot about that stuff Skull tried to tell us about. Is the clue long gone at this point?
