- Finchley has news on the daggers used by Vernon. While not a lead exactly, the group gets a better understanding of what they are up against.
ukraden krvi (stolen blood) - +4D damage. When taking damage from both of these daggars your blood pool is halved and transferred to the wielder. (if wielded by two seperate people, the blood pool is split.
- Armand has left the city and returned to Europe seeking safety.
- Kaytoss has gone missing, last scene being lead off by vampires wearing Camirilla badges. Veronica Bell seems to know nothing, and no word has been given since.
- Valdred has been taken out of power until he has been deemed fit to run the city by the council. He has been confined to his quarters. In his absence the Aidis has taken over until a more adequate replacement is found. Those seeking an audience with Valdred are flocking to NY.
- A new defense chief named Salvadore has been appointed to run the city during this crisis. The group no longer holds power in Mid Town.
- Maria has been given permission to resume her post as lead investigator after a meeting with Giuseppe and Gregorio the new Camirilla medical chief.
- The group encounters the Skull, a vampire vigilante seeking to kill all Watchdogs in the city. Colateral damage usually runs high.
In the second session of chapter two Pulling the Worm from the Big Apple, the group finds that the beloved armored car "Da Gorf" has been taken for a joy ride by the adorably mischievous Bradley. Additionally a visit from the Assimite Primogen with a mission to protect a fugitive vampire has the group at odds with what to spend their time doing.
Once at the Camirilla building the group learns that the state of Valdred has gone from bad to worse, and he has been demanding entrance to the library again which is more than a bit troubling. Upon investigating the library it is learned that plans written by Wexfield have been searched through, and the possibility of Vernon building replicas of the machines housed within is worrisome to say the least.
Maria has been butting heads with the vigilante known as "The Skull" and at present neither has much to go on when it comes to finding out the plans of the Watchdog organization or indeed Vernon at all.
Whispers of the fall of the Camirilla in Paris speaks to the greater loss of order in the world. With Salvadore and Arturo ramping up to what looks like all out war, will New York be strong enough to weather the storm of blood and violence that is coming?
Finchley has been kept busy looking into the name Dredlin, which was the name spoken by the former Prince to refer to himself. So far all that is know is that Dredlin was a 3rd generation vampire and a peaceful one at that. Additionally Finchley was asked by Winters to learn about a now unused Camirilla holding center underground. Abandoned since the end of world war 2, the last known incarceration was of a crime syndicate leader known as Wallie White Ballister.
The group in true mercenary fashion decide that priority one should be to recover their lost vehicle, which they learn was last seen at the site of a hit and run accident near the bridge to Roosevelt Island (known as Blackwel's Island to kindred). Unfortunately what is discovered is that the island is the stronghold for the Sabat in New York, and Da Gorf has been taken to a suspicious garage named Sinclair's. Upon recovery of the vehicle the group is attacked by a mob of waiting Sabat lead by none other that Arturo, which would have been bad enough if it wasn't for the fact that both Darren and Cecil succumbed to blackouts and were rendered unconscious for the duration of the struggle. In the end (and after a series of spectacular explosions curtesy of Oliver) despite much effort the group was defeated and left alive by the unexpected mercy of the Newly appointed Bishop Arturo.
Once regrouped Giuseppe gets word from Nevill that there has been an attack by Vernon outside his offices, and that Maria has been taken. Tony and Giuseppe rush to the scene to find that Vernon has infected a whole host of abducted homeless mortals and is still in the area with Maria. The rescue attempt is successful, with the final scene of the session being of Tony, Giuseppe, and Maria fleeing out of the tunnels before the host of infected mortals awaken from their transformation.
Don't forget that Vernon has a new and terrifying way of protecting himself, by sacrificing the souls who have pledged their loyalty to him, in place of taking damage from attacks.
ReplyDeleteMuahahahahahahaha!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm toying around with the idea of creating a wiki page for some of my story material. What do you think? I just want to solidify some of my world mythos and have it written down somewhere instead of having it just in my head. Or do you think it would be better served to add it as another area of the existing blog?
